Finding stray cats is nothing new for animal control officers in Riverside County. In fact, it probably happens all the time, but the cat they found wandering was a little bit different. They found a very rare breed, a male Bengal cat. Not to be confused with the wild cat in the jungle.
Our San Jacinto team jazzed to care for an uncommon impound: a bengal cat. This is a fairly expensive breed. Good news: cat is chipped! pic.twitter.com/fQGr2bMQvC

This breed is pretty expensive and domesticated. This Bengal cat appears to be an adult, with brown fur and the distinctive Bengal spotting. And has an owner somewhere because the cat is microchipped.
How much do Bengal cats cost?
Bengal cats are bred to look like leopards and are a fairly expensive breed. The cost of a Bengal kitten will all depend on their location, the breeder, their gender, and their quality. The average cost is usually about $1,000 but can go all the way up to $10,000.
The owner of that Bengal cat offered a $20,000 reward to anyone who finds the feline.
